Support Programmes

  • Enterprise Transformation – Programmes that support enterprise transformation, e.g. programmes by various agencies hosted on the Business Grant Portal (BGP); and/or
  • Workforce Transformation – Job redesign initiatives, and curated training programmes by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Workforce Singapore (WSG), such as training courses aligned to the Skills Framework (SFw), Professional Conversion Programmes (PCP) and sector-specific programmes [e.g. TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA)].

To encourage employers to train and upskill their workers, $3,000 of the credit will be ring-fenced for Workforce Transformation. The remaining $7,000 can be used for both Workforce Transformation and Enterprise Transformation.

What is the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)?


To encourage enterprises to develop the skills of employees, the government announce a few measures in Budget 2020. One of them is the Skillsfuture for Enterprises (SFE) programme, also known as SFE grant to the business community.


The new SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit or SFEC grant is to help enterprises defray 90% of out-of-pocket costs for supportable Enterprise Transformation and Workforce Transformation programmes.

At $10,000 per enterprise, the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit scheme will benefit over 35,000 enterprises, mostly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

  • Employers which meet the following conditions will qualify for the SFEC grant:
  • Have contributed at least $750 Skills Development Levy over a qualifying period;
  • Have employed at least three Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Permanent Residents (PRs) every month over the same period; and
  • Have not been qualified at any of the earlier periods.

No, there will not be a top-up for employers that have previously qualified for

SFEC supports employers’ investment in their workforce. Thus, employers can decide whether to use SFEC to support the training of their local and/or foreign employees.
